Add Some Enchantment To Your Backyard With A Garden Gazebo

Author: J.C. Taylor

Imagine having a place in your own backyard where you can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Imagine this place being the focal point of a beautiful flower garden, a part of the landscaping. If this sounds like a place that you would like to have in your own backyard, the addition of a garden gazebo can make this a reality.

A gazebo is a freestanding, open-sided, roofed, outdoor structure that can serve many purposes. Gazebos come in various shapes and sizes and can be constructed from many different materials. A decorative gazebo that adds beauty and elegance to a garden is known as a garden gazebo. A garden gazebo is often added to the outdoor landscaping as a focal point as well as a place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. The most common shape for a garden gazebo is hexagon-shaped (six-sided) or octagon-shaped (eight-sided) to give it a round appearance.

There are some simple ways to really make your gazebo beautify your garden area when it comes to landscaping:

  • Build your garden around the gazebo instead of building a gazebo somewhere in your garden. A garden that is purposely built around a gazebo makes the gazebo a much stronger focal point than when a gazebo is merely incorporated near an existing garden.
  • Carefully select your plants and flowers for the purpose of going around the gazebo. Choose flowers and plants of various colors and height to give your gazebo a more natural look. As a general rule, the full height of plants growing around the gazebo should never be more than 1/3 the height of the gazebo.
  • When selecting your garden gazebo plan, take into consideration the designs that are built with lattice or trellises on them. Having these structures on the gazebo provides a place for vine plants or flowers to grow onto, making the gazebo come to life.
