Use white lights and Chinese paper lanterns to decorate the backyard. Purchase CDs of a brass band to play during the event. Mardi Gras is about three things; parting, beer and beads. Make sure you stock up on plenty of alcoholic beverages in sustain your guests. Consider renting a bar along with a bartender. You'll need at least one sober person to let others know when they've reached their limit.
